You may have read a recent article on the refurbishment of Annabel’s, one of England’s most famous private members’ clubs that was originally opened by the entrepreneur Mark Birley way back in 1963.
Last month, it relaunched following a £100 million makeover which a plethora of enhancements and adjustments. And we here at Intecho are proud to discuss the role that we played in redesigning the lighting and automation of such a well-known location.
Intecho demonstrated its outstanding expertise of these subjects as the redevelopment process was ongoing. With regards to the lighting of the complex, we advised on the lighting control system which has ultimately helped to make this club stand out even more, which includes the 3,000 LED lights that are situated within the dining room. Lighting can bring ambiance, comfort, colour, safety and efficiency to a room, and in a location such as Annabel’s, where each room delivers a particular feeling, lighting goes even further in unlocking that sensation from all of its visitors.
As for automation: nowadays, more and more buildings are adapting to automation technology hardware such as KNX, which acts as a nerve centre for the entire complex from lighting to security to electricity. In a club as large as Annabel’s, which has plenty of rooms each boasting their own cool and unusual features, it’s imperative for things to be running smoothly at all times, and for all gadgets and equipment to be operating at full capacity without interruption. Automation systems can make this happen, taking care of such tasks in an effective, quick-fire manner, and so our expertise and advice have made a real difference in this regard for Annabel’s.
The club reopened with an exclusive dinner for Legacy members, and since then members old and new have been sampling the new-look Annabel’s, as will many others in the months and years to come. It’s also been something of a celebrity hot spot, and it will continue to serve this purpose.
For those who do check out Annabel’s, you will be able to sample the extravagant designs and feel the ambiance of particular rooms, as well as being wowed by the technology and devices on offer. We here at Intecho are very happy to have played our part in influencing and advising on how the club looks today, as well as impacting upon the experiences that its visitors will have moving forward.
