Intecho Ltd has a fantastic opportunity for a control systems engineer to join our growing intelligent building controls team operating out of our Knutsford office

The Role

The projects that you will be involved with include the design, supply and commissioning of intelligent building controls within the commercial and high end residential sectors. This includes projects ranging from luxury hotels, a broad spectrum of commercial projects and bespoke large residential. This role is based within our head office in Knutsford, Cheshire, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for technically understanding the requirements of the project and then ensuring that a solution is designed and implemented in a methodical manner to an agreed budget.

  • Design of the control system for the project– primarily using KNX and DALI components
  • Development of project specific software – ETS and CoDeSys IEC 61131
  • Onsite commissioning and testing of the system – this will involve regular travel throughout the UK and occasional travel abroad.
  • Integration of the system into third party controls including audio visual systems
  • Preparation of O&M documentation
  • Attendance of site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum HND or equivalent qualification and able to demonstrate evidence of considerable experience gained in control engineering.

Experience or knowledge of building controls systems, ideally in one or more of the following disciplines would be an advantage.

  • DALI or KNX
  • Lighting Controls
  • HVAC,
  • BMS

The candidate should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A good team player with excellent organisational and time management skills. IT literacy is also important (Microsoft Office and AutoCAD) as is a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.

Role – Full Time, Permanent
Salary – depending on experience £30- 35,000.
